In saying that a part owner has the
right to benefit from an asset
that is also defined by time, it means that
once that right has been purchased, it can
be exercised in accordance with the cyclic
criteria that are applied to ownership.
In other words, more than one person owns
the asset in community of property.
The difference between a time-share property
and the co-ownership of a yacht under the
MULTIKARAT system is that in the former,
the asset is defined by size and time whereas
the latter offers full use of the
entire asset and not just a portion
of it as well as other advantages detailed
in full elsewhere
|
The rights
and responsibilities of co-owners are
clearly set out in a standard
property contract valid for
a specified number of years after which
the yacht will be offered for sale.
MULTIKARAT accepts
full responsibility to oversee all aspects
of running the yacht.
During any unassigned periods, the yacht
will be made available for private charters
thereby reducing the running
costs even further.
The Multikarat representative will explain
full details of the scheme during a
pre-arranged meeting.
